I’m not sure if anyone’s still reading this blog in 2018. If you do or just happen to wander here, thank you/welcome!
I’m starting a new category called Logs. This contains logs for games, maybe manga or anime. And by log, I mean, I’ll chronicle my thoughts/impressions as a play. You can think of it as a longer version of tweets. So expect it to be full of spoilers and rambles. A major danger zone.
You’ll probably wonder about the difference of this with Recents and Scribbles. First off, Logs will replace Recents. They are almost identical. Recents is about first impressions while Logs contains my thoughts as I go along the stories. So I don’t see the point of continuing Recents when I can write my (continuous) experience in Logs. On the other hand, Scribbles is where I write my final thoughts. It will wrap up my impressions written in Logs. And it will be spoiler-free.
I’m still trying to figure out some things. But I hope you get the idea. If you have some suggestions or anything that you like to share, feel free to leave a comment. 😀
Okay. Ramblings aside, let’s get to the games!
I’ve started Koshotengai no Hashihime and oh my god it has some difficult kanji. I’ve wanted to try this game ever since it came out. But I was so scared it will be too tough for me (I’m around N3, I think). Curiosity won me over so here I am, navigating through those kanji www.
I loooove the art! It has an unconventional style, at least compared with other VNs that I’ve played. In terms of character style, I find it hard to differentiate them especially Kawase and Minakami. They have same hairstyles! Kawase has a sarcastic attitude though. Meanwhile, Minakami has smaller eyes and a nicer personality.
At first, I thought the game has a slow pacing. It reminds me of TaiAli tbh (which reminds me, I haven’t finished that game!). It got me worried that I might have set my expectations too high. BUT once the mystery kicks in, I CAN’T STOP PLAYING IT. Like the game throws you curve balls one after the other.
You can never prepare yourself.
I’m freaking out at every scene. And I have to question just about everything. Which is real and which is not?
Anyway, let’s move on to Odin Sphere Leifthrasir which is my side game. I played the trial before and it was amazing!
I don’t have that much experience playing these type of game. But I’m having so much fun! Best gaming experience so far.
My eyes are having a feast at the gorgeous art style as well. Super cute and colorful!
I enjoy using the magic as well as the alchemy. Because mixing and matching are the best things you could ever do in life. ☆ ～(‘▽^人)
I don’t know the deal with Odin and his family. Poor poor Gwendolyn though. She is working so hard yet her father wouldn’t even look at her. I hope she’ll be rewarded or at least, she finally gives her best for herself and countrymen, not be the best soldier just to win her father’s affection.
That’s all for now. (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ
